In addition to more than 25 years as a “user” is the first Mac I ever owned. I had never considered Mac to be relevant to me in many ways, including the owners, non-Intel hardware and a lot of “things” funky “about the old Mac OS. But even become dog-tired of the chaos Wintel – machinery must be rebuilt on a regular basis, blue screens, the concerns of viruses, etc., etc. To support the family computer is even more pain. “Dad, what does this error message? ‘It is clear Mac is now a viable alternative for users of business technology (ok, they have been for a while’ of time), I made the leap, even if equipment is very expensive, the competition to speak.

I am absolutely delighted by this acquisition. Everything works. Although I’m still finding my way around in some areas, are reveling in the joy of a man to use the user interface oriented. I installed VMware Fusion on the basis of my comparison between him and parallels, and my experience with other VMware platforms. I exported my work machine with VMware Converter and Fusion imported. Works great. The performance is at least equal to that which was the old machine (2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM) – and stability is much better. Integration of Windows applications in OS X is excellent with the merger of units. I had to return to my work, once released by the HP laptop to make the leap.

The only problem I had, and it was a minor, was to install the RAM. I bought 4 GB of RAM with the machine because I wanted to get the full memory capacity, particularly for enterprise applications, and VMware Fusion. The upgrade is not difficult (unlike the Mac Mini!), But consumes the care and two small screwdrivers to complete. Eight screws, and four of them are quite small. Be careful not to drop a small screw in the camera when you’re on the resettlement. Cover alignment is also important to correct, or the battery and hard drive door does not close properly. As with any project, put all the screws before tightening any of them.

Unlike other reviewers, I found the high-glare glass, see a big problem. Glare is sometimes a problem, but the reorientation of the car a little ‘minimized the discomfort. The display is superb, very consistent with the product design and quality. The glass trackpad is excellent, with intuitive, Tunable multitouch functionality. The MacBook Pro is much cooler and quieter, any laptop I’ve used over the last 5 or 6 years. The machining of aluminum is strong and attractive, while providing a large heat sink for components of high heat.

The Wish List service, I would have more than two USB ports for high, although I can not spend at least one FireWire device to take advantage of this port. In addition, the front edge of the base is a little ‘too strong for the rest of my hands or wrists. Finally, I find it annoying having to buy a $ 20 adapter cable to connect an external VGA monitor. The cable is too short – but this is not a criticism of the cable. However, these problems are not sufficient to reduce my rating below five stars. This is an excellent laptop. I like OS X which I added a Mac Mini in the family of machines, to rave reviews of its three main users. How can you beat that?
